You may ask what is so good about Turkey, rather than Spain or other European countries?
Well, we believe that Turkey is one of the best property hotspots because;
1) Affordable prices (comparable properties in Spain costs more than 4 times!).
2) Prices will never be this low again….property prices on the popular coastal
resorts last year grew by 15% and this growth is expected to continue as;
- Turkish government is investing heavily in development of the seaside resorts such as improving road links, building new airports, new Marinas and Golf courses.
- Turkey is marked to become one of the golfing capitals of Europe, where there are plans to build 100 new golf courses in the next 10 years.
- The mortgage system was introduced into Turkey in 2007 which has made it more accessible for people to buy.
- Turkey has initially been accepted as a future member of the EU, hence large potential growth in real estate.
- Great rental potential, not only for the 1.8million UK tourists every year, but also from the 20 million tourists from all around the world.
Continuing growth in Tourism;
Turkey has seen a continued growth in tourism more than any other country in Europe. This trend is continuing and Turkey is preparing itself for 30 million tourists in 2010!
This has also led to an increase in cheaper flights and all the major charter airlines now have regular flights throughout the summer season (May through to October) to all of the airports on the coastal regions. There are even flights that continue to run throughout the winter as well (see our useful links / flights page). The low cost airlines have also started and Easy jet now has flights in the summer season to Istanbul, Bodrum and Dalaman.

Private Health service is also excellent in Turkey and a lot cheaper than mainland Europe. There has been an increase in health tourism to Turkey with more people recognising the large, modern private health care sector in Turkey.

Turkey is also a very modern Muslim country, a democratic state and a member of Nato. It has a healthy and fast growing economy with a healthy GDP (Gross Domestic Product) and increasing export market.
Construction in Turkey has improved dramatically in the last 6 years due to new building regulations that have been introduced. The quality of brand new builds are impressive with the developers understanding the needs of the European customer and providing good quality workmanship, high specifications of interior fitment and the new complexes that have more facilities to offer that some luxury holiday clubs!
